Minor correction for location of Croft on the Club Map

Hi Tom

Just noticed that the marker for Croft is quite a way up the road from the village hall.

In the interest of accuracy and hoping to save someone a frustrating ten minutes while they try and find the hall for the first time I have tried my best to provide a link that shows the real location. Unfortunately I cannot remember how to generate new markers so I have done what I am good at and provided the link from the Get Directions feature.

Corrected Google Map Links

The google map links are now generated from the correct co-ordinates. There is also a map on each club page showing the accurate location of the club (shown by the green arrow).

Map locations

Stephen,
This is a bit of a frustrating 'feature'. When entering the location of the clubs, the co-ordinates are captured from Google based on the club address. This seems to only be accurate to postcode level (which can be some way away from the actual address especially in rural locations). For the locations within this website though, you are able to provide override co-ordinates. You'll find the locations on the club map page are fairly accurate because these are based on co-ordinates that I have provided.
The problem you are seeing occurs when the links to Google Maps are generated. These links display in the pop-up boxes for the clubs or on the club detail pages. The links don't take into account the override co-ordinates so are generated from the club address straight from Google.
For now, it's best to check the location of the clubs from the Club Maps page, by zooming in on the club you are interested in.
I'll keep an eye out for a fix to this.
Tom.
