Level Doubles League Tournament 2011

The Craven & District level doubles tournaments were held at Holy Family School, Keighley on Sun 27th November.

There were a good number of entries for the Men's tournament, with representatives of clubs in Skipton, Barnoldswick, Colne, Settle, Crosshills and Keighley. There were fewer ladies present. Their final was a contest between Lorraine Whipp and Stephanie Harling of Colne, last year's winners and Marion Lilley and her partner, Roy Christian of Moorlands, Keighley. Marion and Roy won the title, 15 - 7, 15 - 14.

In the Men's competition the semi-finals were played. Dan Doveston and Mickey Ruddock of Moorlands beat Richard Butcher and Stephen Dale of Skipton, 15 - 11, 15 - 13, whilst Andy Hartley and Peter Macro of Colne played Derek Seed and Dan Stocks of Settle, the Colne pair winning 15 - 13, 15 - 9. The final was closely fought, going to 3 games, which Dan and Mickey won 15 - 12, 11 - 15, 15 - 10
